Why use Klutter King?
There are many advantages opting to use our services the main one is the cost, hiring a van and skip is extremely expensive and time consuming, you may even need to take time off work which could result in more money lost.
But the biggest advantage to using our house clearance service or other services for that matter is that you don’t need to lift a finger, our team will do all the hard work leaving you to continue to go to work without taking time off. And not have to worry or stress for days or weeks of trying to deal with the situation.
Who uses Klutter King?
A large percentage of our customers are private home owners and landlords, we do however work with many local small businesses, letting agencies, solicitors. As long as you have permission or the rights for us to work on your property then we will be able to help you.
People I don’t know in the property
We understand this, and often get asked this on the phone. We are professionals and have compassion with sensitive items and things that matter to you, anything we find during a house clearance or any other clearance service that we believe is private will be kept private (things like documents). We can put all documents and various letters aside for you, and no our staff will not read through these, we are far too busy to have the time to be reading letters etc but we will put aside for you to sort.
How much does it cost?
It’s impossible to say prior to hearing what needs removing, all homes are different and so are house clearances, you may need a whole house removing or just a few items. We charge based on tipping fees and how long it will take us to remove and dispose of. A single item for collection will cost £45. This covers transport and time.
If the household items hold any value we can use these against the cost of our fees. In most cases we advise that you deal with anything that you feel comfortable trying to rehome as we are a clearance service and don’t buy contents. But we will try to donate or rehome usable items.
Can you clear the shed and garage?
Yes, we can even dismantle your shed and then dispose of it… no problem!
We can arrange for vehicles, caravans etc to be disposed of correctly.
How does your house clearance work?
You contact us and we provide you with a quote, we arrange a date and time with you and we turn up at the agreed time on the day arranged. We assess the clearance. Then we clear the property to your satisfaction with no stress or complications, we will stay until the full property is totally cleared and we don’t ask for any payment until you are completely satisfied with the house clearance. Upon completion of any work carried out, you (the customer) will be provided with a full invoice for your own records and asked to sign a duty of care note.
What will you take?
We can clear almost everything requested, from bric a bric, clothes, general furniture and junk, we are more than happy to clear garden sheds, garages, offices, flats and any out buildings. We can remove and clear, all white goods and carpets. We can also even remove cars, motorbikes, caravans and boats. We will clear just about anything! Just ask us when enquiring. We have probably encountered most requests and seen some messes in the past so please just ask.
What we can’t take.
We can clear almost anything, however there are a few items which legally we cannot dispose of.
These items are shown below:
- Chemicals (Oils, petrol and painting fluids).
- Bricks, rubble, soil.
- Asbestos and any other hazardous material.
Do we buy?
No sorry. We are simply a clearance company. We are happy to provide you with free help or advice on what we can help with. When an appointment is booked with Klutter King, we do advise all of our customers to remove or keep any items that they see as valuable. We will always put items to one side that we think are valuable for the customer or any items that can be re-used will be donated and will try to get them to a new home for people in need.
Are we a registered waste carrier?
Yes. We hold a Higher Tier Waste Carriers Licence issued by the Environment Agency.
Our License Registration Number – CBDU191810
When do you work?
We work 7 days a week, we always arrive at a property at the agreed time and we work until the job is completed, we never leave a property until the job is done to your satisfaction. Generally, a property can be cleared within a day, however we would normally have an average house all cleared by the afternoon, more cluttered or larger properties may require extra time to clear.
Do I need to be at the property?
No. We are more than happy to collect the keys for the property from an estate agent, solicitors or even a neighbour. We do like you to be there to let us in so if anything, you have saved can be pointed out. This can be discussed on the phone or email. We do advise that you got through the property and put thing by in one room or label clearly that its not to be taken. In some situations, as in a bereavement it can be very upsetting to see a home being cleared and to save a little stress it may be best you go and have coffee or go and do something to take your mind off the process. You can put your trust in us to do the task in a respectful manner.
Can we disconnect appliances?
Yes. We disconnect all the appliances ourselves as long as they are a standard fitting. This includes un-plumbing washing machines and disconnecting gas appliances from the gas mains. I am a qualified plumber so this is not a problem.
Do you have any more questions?
